Sudden deafness is not far away from us
The city is bustling, the sound is endless, the work smoke is everywhere, the spirit continues to tense... More and more office workers suffer from tinnitus and sudden deafness due to increasing work pressure, lack of sleep and excessive use of ears. However, most of them are indifferent to it. They are only temporary symptoms and miss the golden period of medical treatment, which leads to irreversible hearing loss. In fact, sudden deafness is not far away from us. We must not neglect hearing health.
Sudden deafness, also known as acute idiopathic, sensorineural hearing loss, acute refers to the onset of within 72 hours, idiopathic refers to the cause of unknown. At present, the etiology of sudden deafness is not completely clear. The common factors include vascular factors, viral infection, autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases and tumors. Multicenter studies on sudden deafness have shown that the incidence of sudden deafness is gradually increasing. Although sudden deafness generally occurs in the elderly, a recent survey has found that sudden deafness patients are gradually younger, and many young workers and even students are joining the "sudden deafness army".
About 90% of sudden deafness patients have tinnitus, 50% of them have tightness and ear distention, 30% of them have dizziness or dizziness, and even some of them have anxiety, depression and other psychiatric symptoms. Generally speaking, the appearance of tinnitus may be a signal that you may be overworked and need rest. However, there are still many sudden deafness patients who think that they are just getting angry and blindly take gunpowder for several days, thus delaying the best treatment opportunity. Because when the inner ear is hypoxic and ischemic to a certain extent, the damage of hair cells in the ear is irreversible and may become permanent deafness.
In order to prevent sudden deafness to the greatest extent, we should try our best to relieve mental pressure, maintain emotional stability and avoid rage and ecstasy; maintain regular work and avoid excessive long-term fatigue; minimize the frequency of using earphones and reduce the volume; once suspected sudden deafness, we should go to the hospital in time.
In daily life, the ambient sound should not exceed 90 decibels; in order to ensure normal work and study, the ambient sound should not exceed 70 decibels; in order to ensure good sleep, the sound should not exceed 20 decibels. If you need to use headphones, you should try to wear headphones in quiet environment or choose noise-reducing headphones, which can reduce the absorption of external noise, and do not need to turn the volume too high. The volume of headphones should be kept within 60 decibels. High volume may not be detectable in a short period of time. Over time, it will affect the internal structure of the ear.
Drug therapy for sudden deafness mainly includes glucocorticoid, also known as steroid hormone, which is the first choice for the treatment of sudden deafness. Secondly, anticoagulant and defibrinogenic drugs, as well as neurotrophic drugs. Doctors will formulate a combination drug regimen according to the patient's condition. If the treatment effect is not good and the hearing loss is severe or extremely severe sensorineural deafness, hearing aids, such as wearing hearing aids and cochlear implants, can also be used after a certain period of time.
